The Upstream International Asia business began in Asia over a century ago, back in the 1890s, when the first wells were drilled by Shell in Sumatra and resulting in a first SE Asia commercial oil discovery in Miri, Sarawak in 1910. Recent developments in Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and China provide an aggressive expansion to our portfolio in the region.

Shell Upstream International Asia operates in seven countries – Malaysia, China, Philippines, New Zealand, India, Brunei and Singapore.
Work in a team comprising Shell engineers and 3rd party contractors to specifically provide process engineering expertise to Projects.
Responsible for verifying that the work product conforms to Engineering and
Project requirements and that it meet design performance,safety and quality standards and complies with all regulatory requirements.
Monitor contractor Detail Design and Follow-on Design progress and provide reports to Management.
Ensure that design of process systems meet process, safety, operability, maintainability and reliability requirements.
Participate in studies and reviews including Hazop reviews, SIL reviews, RAM analyses, Human Factors Engineering, review of environmental impact, etc.
Work with other discipline and project engineers to co-ordinate design work and address interface areas.
Provide coaching,training and development to junior and graduate staff.

Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Six (6) years experience in the oil and gas industry, 4 years of which are in Process design.
Experience in FEED, Detailed Design of offshore platforms and facilities (FPSO, MOPU)
Strong Process Design Experience for FPSO & Topsides is an added advantage.
