• Assist in establishing R&D strategy and plans for Thiogro technology improvements
• Provide input to specific R&D plans based on research work completed to date and operational experience of new licensees.
• Work with IFDC and other research institution professional staff to outline specific research plans for the coming period and obtain related R&D cost estimates and timing proposals.
• Oversee Thiogro technology R&D test runs at IFDC and contribute to results interpretation.
• Work with Thiogro licensees to achieve target sulphur-in-Thiogro products while meeting company health,safety and environmental standards
• Work with professional staff at IFDC,P&T and the Thiogro licensees to assimilate R&D results from their tests and production runs,and to recommend further R&D steps to improve Thiogro technology
• Provide input to R&D at P&T laboratories related to understanding the properties of sulphur in Thiogro during various stages of the production process
• Work with designated engineering companies to produce technology installation drawings and specifications for various fertilizer plant configurations.
• Provide expert advice to new licensees on the installation and safe operation of Thiogro technology
• Provide hands-on Thiogro technology trouble-shooting services to SEF licensees should they experience operational issues
• Execute R&D and licensee plant and performance test trials in support of agreed plans for new Thiogro fertilizer products

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in the fertilizer industry, knowledge of fertilizer production processes, and fertilizer products
• Minimum 5 years experience in sulphur handling and forming, in depth knowledge of sulphur properties and behavior
• Proven experience in executing research and development programs, and working with associated professional staff
• Proven knowledge of the international sulphur marketing business, key markets, sulphur market dynamics, demand enhancement strategy, market participants, supply/demand history and current direction
• Demonstrated understanding of plant nutrient science and soil science
• Proven experience in the process for taking technology developments from laboratory bench-scale to full commercial plant scale
• Proven experience in how to successfully execute R&D programs
• Working effectively with R&D and engineering professionals
• Sound relational skills and some marketing skills as they relate to development of sound licensee relationships with Shell and the Thiogro Project team
• Ability to interact/communicate effectively with licensee personnel from plant operators to plant technical management
