Powder & Bulk Solids India Sharpens its Industry FocusThursday, 19 September 2013
MUMBAI (IN) - With its fourth show, India’s largest event for powder and bulk material handling is putting more attention on the different information needs of its industries.
The programme of the parallel conference is split into two separate series of presentations to meet the requirements of the plastics, pharma, food, and chemical industries on the one hand and heavy bulk handling industries on the other. At Powder & Bulk Solids India (PBSI), approximately 70 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest technologies in mixing, size reduction, screening, dosing, weighing, and analysis of powders, granules, and bulk solids. The companies address their products to the manufacturers of chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, and plastics as well as to operators of heavy bulk plants in mines and ports. At the exhibition, every third exhibitor is international − among them key industry players like Allgaier, Beumer, FLSmidth, Hosokawa Micron, and K-Tron.
PBSI opens its doors at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India, from 9–11 October 2013.
As global competition increases, Indian manufacturers that are willing to take steps towards more efficient processes and embrace world-class manufacturing standards are more likely to be successful over the long-term. Material handling is an integral aspect of modern manufacturing, with “process optimization” being the current buzz-word. “Increasing growth momentum in several user industries is opening up a new vista for Indian powder and bulk solid handling equipment manufacturers and suppliers,” says PBSI conference chairman Dr. Vijay. K. Agarwal from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. “PBSI 2013 offers a well-established platform for all industries that focuses on the entire production line – from raw material to finished product.”
Leading companies from India and around the world use this unique exhibition to present mechanical processing technologies for powder and bulk solids, plant engineering, and processing components. The exhibition is accompanied by conferences and workshops in two main streams of “Processing Technologies in Powder” and “Bulk and Heavy Bulk Material Handling,” which will include presentations by industry experts like Darpan Sejpal from Röchling India,Sudeep Sar from FLSmidth, and Shailesh Dhume from Bayer Technology Services India and academic experts including Kenneth C. Williams from University of Newcastle, Australia, and Dr. David Mills, a world-known conveying consultant from the U.K.
“PBSI 2013 brings academia and industry together at a leading conference with specialised technical workshops. It also offers high-quality presentations, solution-oriented developments, networking opportunities, and knowledge acquisition,” says Sonia Prashar, Managing Director at NürnbergMesse India.
PBSI is organized by NürnbergMesse, one of the largest exhibition companies in the world, and Vogel Business Media, one of the largest German specialist publishers for trade and industry, with leading industry journals like “Bulk Solids Handling” and “Process India” under its imprint.
