LE MAY SUR EVRE (FR) - The Tetra Guerin Vacuum Dense Phase Conveying is designed to convey very fragile products. The low velocity ensures a minimal product break down, fat migration, loss of shininess.

It can also be used to convey mixes of products with a minimum alteration of mixed homogeneity.

Capacity range for dense phase conveying:

  • Instant throughput up to 20 T/h
  • Pipe length up to 50m
  • Elevation up to 18m
  • Air speed: 1 to 5 m/s at starting point and 5 to 10 m/s at final point
  • Product concentration: up to 120kg product/kg air

Capacity range for semi-dense phase conveying:

  • Instant throughput up to 20 T/h
  • Pipe length up to 75m
  • Elevation up to 25m
  • Air speed: 5 to 10 m/s at starting point and 10 to 15 m/s at final point
  • Product concentration: up to 60kg product/kg air

Advantages:

  • Very low speed
  • High product concentration
  • Low height requested at product starting point
  • Explosion proof
  • High hygienic (no moving part in contact with the product)
  • High negative pressure (up to -850 mbar)
  • Dedicated to very fragile products (dense phase) or fragile products (semi-dense phase)

Working process:

A vacuum pump will vacuum the conveying line. When vacuum is reached, inlet powder valve is opened. Powder is conveyed to a receiving hopper at a low and controlled velocity thanks to an air flow controlled valve.

The receiving hopper is continually discharging to the next step of the process through a rotary valve. According to the product, air injection is installed at the beginning of the pipe to ease the product flow.
